Our Reviews

My daughter and I recently stayed 2 nights at Castlewood, and simply loved it. From the deliciously comfortable beds, to the scrumtuous breakfasts, we were delighted by the casual luxury at Castlewood. S S S S S

This is one fantastic establishment! No detail was too small to notice, the rooms were gorgeous, the breakfasts plentiful and superb, and the customer service beyond compare. Aine in particular was truly stellar...I had a badly sprained ankle upon arrival, and she not only helped me find music, entertainment, shopping, and restaurants that were exquisite, but also showed me the easiest way to navigate the town and find parking. The location was fantastic: right on the bay, extremely near to town yet quiet and peaceful. My only complaint was that it spoiled me for the rest of my journey, as no other hotel or B&B, even the more expensive ones, even came close to Castlewood Guest House. I never wanted to leave! Bravo! his is definitely the best guest house I have ever stayed in - Hotels at twice the price or more are not as nice.. Beautiful comfortable room with big bathroom containing separate bath & power shower. Tea/coffee making facilities with comp water. Good WiFi connection. Lovely touch was the comp bucks fizz on arrival - such a genuinely lovely lady at both check in and check out. Pleasant & helpful, without overdoing it. Situated a mere 10 mins walk from Dingle Town centre if even that, so it was lovely and quiet.. No noise late at night. The breakfast was FANTASTIC - gorgeous Eggs Benedict with spinach and good, strong coffee - served in the beautiful dining room overlooking Dingle Bay - simply gorgeous! Good selection of cereals, pastries and juices. Really nice brown bread. It was so pleasant to relax and admire the beautiful view while enjoying such a lovely breakfast. We were well set up for the day! The owners came round and spoke to everyone whilst dining, which was very nice. They seemed genuinely interested in their guests and their comfort whilst staying. Cannot wait to return to this fabulous place in a fabulous place... Thank you for the lovely stay !! -: S S S S S

We loved our stay at Castlewood House. Everything was perfect. Helen is a superb hostess and Brian' s cooking was excellent. The staff especially Georgia was warm and friendly and delivered excellent service. We would definitely go back to Castlewood again. S S S S S

My wife and I had a wonderful 1-night stay at Castlewood House this past June. The location is excellent only a short walk from the downtown restaurants, pubs, shops, our room was spacious with a luxurious bathroom, and breakfast was delicious with multiple different options. We would definitely stay again. S S S S S

Beautifully appointed and immaculately presented with excellent service throughout. Ideally located within walking distance of the town centre but far enough away to avoid the noise. Fantastic weather was icing on the cake. S S S S S

Our stay in Dingle for two nights in June was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland, and Castlewood House was really the icing on the cake. I just wish we had stayed an extra day! Glorious weather, lots to do, and a very comfortable place to stay - you can't ask for much more. This was towards the end of our trip, and although all the B&Bs we stayed at were nice, this one made us feel like we were really on vacation. The room was wonderful - the full bath with soaking tub and "American-style" shower was a luxury you don't often see in B&Bs. We had a great view of Dingle Bay from our room at least when the tide was in :. Helen and Brian, along with their staff, were extremely helpful. They coordinated laundry services for us, arranged a tour, provided information about the local area, and just generally made us feel very welcome. Breakfasts were very high quality and the dining room was a sunlit pleasure to be in. I would definitely recommend Castlewood House for guests looking for a place to unwind and relax and enjoy what the Dingle Peninsula has to offer! S S S S S

Dingle is a vibrant town which provides an excellent base for visiting the Ring of Kerry and the beautiful Dingle peninsula, Tralee and Killarney. Dingle provides a wide range of activities including golf, horse riding and of course swimming with Fungi, our resident Dolphin.
Golfers Tee Times can be arranged at the 18-hole Dingle Golf Links, Ceann Sibeal. It is the most westerly golf course in Europe, and is carved from the natural landscape of one of the most unspoiled parts of Europe, with hazards laid down long before the game of golf was dreamt of.
